With the Union Plus AT&T Wireless Discount, labor union members save 15% off the regular monthly rate for individual and family wireless cell phone plans* on the nation's largest wireless network. Choose your discounted phone plan on the AT&T website for union members.

You can save 15% off the regular wireless service costs including phone and data plans and labor union members also can receive additional savings on cell phones and accessories through the special AT&T website for union members.

Union families save an average of $110 a year on monthly service with their 15% Union Plus AT&T Wireless Discount.  Higher minute plans save even more.

Not only will you be saving - you'll be supporting union workers and their families. AT&T is the only national wireless company that is completely unionized. Some 40,000 AT&T Mobility employees are represented by the Communications Workers of America (CWA).

Start Saving

  • Find specials on AT&T cell phones and purchase wireless service online.

    You will be asked to certify that you are a current or retired union member prior to entering the AT&T Web site.

    You will also be asked to provide your union name and local number at time of check out.

  • Find an AT&T store location near you here. Note: The union discount is ONLY available at AT&T stores, NOT at any authorized dealer or kiosk. Please be aware that the store listing shows both, so please be sure to visit an AT&T store.

    Print the Union Plus AT&T wireless discount savings coupon & "proof of membership" form now. If you have trouble with the coupon download, notify the AT&T store that the Union Plus AT&T Wireless Discount FAN number is: 3508840.

    Bring the AT&T wireless savings coupon, completed "proof of membership" form and one of the following acceptable forms of union identification to the store:

    • a union membership card
    • a Union Plus Credit Card
    • proof of payment of union dues
Current AT&T Customers

If you are a current AT&T customer, you can choose ONE of the TWO options below to switch to the new 15% discount.

Visit an AT&T Store:
  1. Print the Union Plus AT&T wireless discount savings coupon & "proof of membership form. 
  2. Complete the "proof of membership" form.
  3. Bring the savings coupon, "proof of membership form", and union identification to an official AT&T store.

NOTE: The union discount is ONLY available at AT&T stores, NOT at any authorized dealer or kiosk. Please be aware that the store listing shows both, so please be sure to visit an AT&T store.

OR

Fax in documentation:
  1. Download "proof of membership" form.
  2. Fax the completed form and union identification to AT&T as instructed on the form.

NOTE: the â??proof of membershipâ? form asks for a â??Customer BANâ?, which is the nine-digit Account Number in the upper right hand corner of your AT&T billing statement.

*All program plans for new and existing customers require a new two-year contract. This offer cannot be combined with any other discounts. The 15% Union Plus AT&T wireless discount is not available on the iPad, additional lines for family plans, unlimited plans and Unity plans. Data services: the Dataplus 200MB plan and data plans on secondary lines are not discounted.

**Union members can purchase the 3G, 3Gs, and 4 iPhone at regular price and receive the 15% AT&T Wireless Union Plus discount off the AT&T wireless service plan. NOTE: There will be no discount for service using the original iPhone.

Wireless Phone Tips

  • Find the right AT&T wireless plan and cell phone - advice from ConsumerReports.org
  • People don't realize they could unknowingly be inviting spam when they download ringtones, games and other stuff from vendors they don't know or trust.
  • To help minimize cell phone spam, Consumer Reports says you can call your carrier right away. That way you're more likely to have charges for messages waived before they pile up, and you can block spam at the source. Go to your AT&T cell phone account online, access preferences for text messages and email and block text messages from Internet-based accounts.
  • To block cell phone spam, you can also register your cell phone number with the National Do-Not Call Registry.
  • Also, you can file a complaint about cell phone spam with the FCC.
  • Download a Solidarity Forever ringtone.

FAQ

What is covered under the discount?
The discount is available on the primary line of an individual or family plan.  Additional lines for family plans are not included.  The 250MB $15 data plan and data plans on secondary lines are not discounted.

What is the activation fee?  
No, there is no activation fee for union members.

Do I have to pay a conversion fee?
No, there is no conversion fee for union members.

Are there discounts available on equipment?
Eligible customers have the option to either take advantage of any promotional pricing on equipment that is offered at time of purchase.

What is the Equipment Upgrade Fee?
There is an $18 fee charged for all upgraded equipment.  

Does the Union Plus discount apply to an iPhone?
Yes, but only to the 3G and 4 iPhone. We cannot offer the discount on the original iPhone.

Does the Union Plus discount apply to the iPad?
No, the discount does not apply to the iPad data plan.

What is the minimum rate plan the Union Plus discount can be applied too?
The rate plan has to be higher than $34.99.

The program is currently for residents in the United States and not available in Guam or Canada.*

Who is eligible?

  • Dues-paying labor union members of participating unions
  • Retired union members
  • Spouse, domestic partners, and children may be included as part of the union member's family plan
  • Widows/widowers of labor union members may take over accounts initiated by the member only
  • Union Plus credit cardholders
  • Working America and Alliance for Retired Americans members

*AT&T service may not cover an entire state, check your local service map.

    Your union membership dictates which Union Plus benefits you are eligible to use.

    1. What your national union’s name (not just your local number)? Scroll through the list we have to see if you recognize your union.
    2. What type of work do you do (select your occupation)?
    3. Do you have a union member card or union publication/letter that shows the name of your union? Find something with the name of your union, not just a local number.
    4. Is there a shop steward or work colleague you can ask what the name of your union is? You can even ask your human resources department to tell you the full name of your union?
    5. Do you have a Union Plus Credit Card? If so, the name and logo for your international union should appear on the front of the card.
