Union Discounts on Norwegian Cruise Line

The Union Plus Cruise Discount Difference:

As of the end of April, NCL changed its marketing strategy and will no longer offer guaranteed discounts to union members on NCL cruises.

NCL will continue the practice of offering discounts on selected cruises to members who sign up for their e-mail promotions.  Members may sign up for these promotions at www.ncl.com.

The cruise line continues to employ union members as crew for the Hawaiian cruises and we urge union members to continue to cruise on NCL ships.

If you've used this benefit, would you recommend it?

Freestyle Cruising

Norwegian Cruise Line is All About Freestyle Cruising®

A little thing like having a set dinner time can send a ripple through your whole day. That's why Norwegian invented Freestyle Cruising, a revolutionary concept where you can eat when you're hungry at your choice of more than 20 different dining options onboard. And it's more than just Freestyle Dining:

  • Freestyle Activities: there are lots of activities you can enjoy, like bowling at the first ever bowling alley at sea, indulging in spa treatments, trying any of Norwegian's Shore Excursions, testing your luck in the casino - or just sit back and relax - it's completely up to you.
  • Freestyle Accommodations: If you want to take the whole family along with you, Norwegian offers plenty of connecting staterooms, as well as the exclusive Garden Villas - the largest, most opulent accommodations afloat.
  • Freestyle Entertainment: Norwegian offers never before seen at sea entertainment onboard their newest ship, Norwegian Epic, such as Blue Man Group, Legends in Concert, Cirque Dreams™ & Dinner and Howl at the Moon, giving you a wide array of choices during your cruise to choose the type of entertainment you're in the mood for.
  • Freestyle Attire: dress up or dress down, it's completely up to you.
  • Freestyle Disembarkation: no need to herd off the ship first thing in the morning. Relax, have breakfast, hit the gym. Norwegian has streamlined the process so you don't have to rush.

And remember, Freestyle Cruising is available exclusively with Norwegian Cruise Line

Cruise tips

Find reader's reviews, ratings, and cruise profiles at CruiseCritic.com, a comprehensive cruise vacation planning guide.

  • Do you know which items are illegal to take through airport security checkpoints?

Be careful when you pack your carry-on bag. Of course, any kind of weapon is prohibited, but so are everyday items like sports equipment (bats, hockey sticks) and tools (screwdrivers, hammers). Check out the Transportation Security Administration's website for the list of items banned from carry-on baggage.

  • Travel Insurance 101

If you need to cancel or interrupt your trip, or if you become ill during your journey, travel insurance will reimburse you for the expenses you incur due to your bad luck. Find out more about the ins and outs of travel insurance here.

  • Did you know?

This discount isn't really a discount. Got the same price on priceline without union id. NCL needs to offer real discount.
